Design Services

Successfully delivering engineering design services to our clients is our passion. These offerings include full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Information Technology design. Our work often starts with a simple concept or feasibility study and doesn’t finish until the construction administration phase is completed and the building is occupied or the new system is running successfully by the project owner. Often and where appropriate, Inversity employs sustainable, high performance and / or LEED certified solutions. We create using all the most modern technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM).

At any time in our office, projects can range from one-day studies provided for local government entities to multi-million dollar education building design. We thrive on providing our communities with building design solutions which enhance the quality of our users’ lives. BIM / Virtual Design

BIM (Building Information Modeling) Our firm’s principals were early adopters of BIM. In the mid-2000s, while other engineers were focused solely on AutoCad, Inversity principals were staff engineers and leading engineering departments, grinding away at creating symbol libraries where they didn’t yet exist for the newly introduced REVIT program (which led the introduction and application of BIM engineering). Since we were at the forefront of the innovation curve, this allowed us to be among the first to implement full BIM models for our clients and project partners.

As this technology allows us to collaborate with all disciplines of a construction project, we are able to correct issues electronically before they become brick and mortar (costly) mistakes. This advantage creates efficiency and keeps the project adhered to the original budget and schedule estimates. Further, our clients can see their building come to life on the screen and make any desired changes months before the construction starts. BIM technology acts as the ultimate communication tool to bring all parties together to create critical and timely client solutions.

Sustainable Design

Our principals learned to design sustainably before it became an additional service in the industry. We operate on the idea of high performance engineering, meaning that - whether our clients desire a LEED Certified building or not - they will receive a building that is designed to maximize efficiency for the resources put into the project budget. Reducing operation costs for our owners is always a priority for our firm.

Several of our staff members assigned to our clients’ projects are LEED Accredited Professionals. Our designs effortlessly incorporate sustainable principles to balance performance and aesthetic design. We have utilized energy auditing, LEED, Energy Star, and Green Globes parameters for our variety of clients and building types.

We have completed dozens of LEED Certified projects throughout our principals’ experience. We are familiar with the process of commissioning to evaluate an existing building’s systems for efficiency, and we routinely offer a variety of solutions for energy savings based on listening to our clients’ priorities and desires. As our world gets more complicated, we aim for our buildings to provide simple, comfortable, and healthy environments for all users.
