Inversity was hired by Architecture Firm to provide MEP + Fire Protection
services for the Common House Richmond project. The existing facility on-site is a
historic building, so the team worked with the Department of Historic Resource to
secure tax credits. The new use for this building (located at 305 West Broad Street) is a social, members-only club operating on five stories, including rooftop services.
This facility includes a Banquet Hall, Screening Room, Oyster Bar, Rooftop Bar, and Fine Dining, including private offices, conference rooms, and work and meeting spaces. Common House was completed in April 2019 and the construction was completed in October 2020.
In addition to the more typical, full building MEP considerations, a full commercial kitchen was included for their all day dine-in, carryout, and special events catering options. An ultraviolet air purification system, with additional mobile air purifiers, was installed to optimize ventilation and fresh airflow throughout the Common House building. IT and AV considerations were included to easily host wedding parties and other special events in the facility.
