Inversity Consulting Engineers, PLLC provided engineering services to Atlantic Constructors, Inc for the Maruchan Chesterfield County Facility. The Maruchan facility is approximately 570,000 square feet with an address of 8101 Whitepine Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23237. On the second floor, air conditioning to approximately 2,500 square feet of space, used as a product staging area, is to be provided. Supplemental cooling shall be added to serve the cooling needs of this area. A wall will be added to provide separation between the new staging area and unconditioned space. Structural reinforcement may be required by the addition of the rooftop unit and electrical services will be required to provide power to the new unit.
The project work includes the addition of a seven and one-half (7-1/2) ton packaged DX Cooling only rooftop unit to provide cooling to the product staging area. Inversity Consulting will provide mechanical and electrical engineering design services in-house while providing architectural and structural services through an engineering sub-consulting firm. Engineering services shall include at a minimum signed and sealed mechanical and electrical drawings to be used by Atlantic Constructors to obtain county permits. Additionally, we shall provide architectural drawings and or details as required for the new proposed wall and either a structural letter, drawings or details as required for support of the unit. In addition, Inversity Consulting Engineers will generate background floorplans of the area contained within the scope of work as required to produce the construction drawings.
