School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC)

VA Engineers and Minor Engineering (now combined firms called Inversity) teamed up to provide the MEP design services for an approximately 6,000 SF project at the School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC) with BCWH Architects (now part of Quinn Evans).

The scope of work including repurposing existing offices into studio space, renovating an existing entry and lounge area into lobby and pre-function space, and adding a new 2-story public entry space with glass storefront. MEP systems included a VRF system, new plumbing for bathroom renovations, and electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications/audio-video system infrastructure.

There were no change orders for this project and it was completed in February 2016 after eight months of design and nine months of construction (both delivered on time).
